About

What began as a small repair station for Wichita’s growing aircraft industry in 1964 has become a worldwide overhaul/repair facility and major OEM manufacturer employing more than 180 people in two locations. Helping our customers solve problems is the key to our success. We’re dedicated to providing superior quality and safety at affordable prices.

When Mid-Continent was purchased by John Winter in 1980, the company embraced a commitment to engineering, quality and service that continues to this day. With the addition of a facility in Van Nuys, California in 1991, the company expanded its service capabilities and international reach. Today, we have the expertise to overhaul more than 5,000 different products*. Additionally, we engineer and build new products for almost every general aviation manufacturer and provide specialized aftermarket products worldwide.

The best products don’t just happen. During the past 45 years we have initiated rigorous internal quality control and inspection processes to ensure top performance for everything that goes out the door. As an FAA/EASA-authorized repair station, we understand that attention to detail is critical.

New products comply with AS9100 Aerospace Standards that exceed stringent FAA certification requirements. These products are engineered to outperform and outlast older designs, resulting in lightweight products with enhanced safety features. Every day we ask ourselves, “How can we make these products better for you?”
